Homecoming 2001

October 21, 2001

It was early in 2001 that a dream of many began to take form.  Senator Harris Blake and a group of people interested in local history got together and organized to plan and carry out the first Jackson Springs Homecoming celebration on October 21, 2001.  Senator Blake had recently restored the old depot and made other improvements to the spring site.  On that sunny Saturday, between 600-700 people came home to Jackson Springs.  The first celebration was such a success that everyone agreed there should be another one in the future.  The Jackson Springs Historical Preservation Foundation, Inc. was formed that year to support the preservation of this historical site and has great plans for the future!

Scenes From The Springs

Senator Harris Blake and friends share stories by the spring. Senator Blake's love of his hometown was the inspiration for this celebration.
