Jackson Springs Depot
Time: 10 am - 4 pm
Bring a chair and come sit awhile with us as we celebrate the 200th anniversary of Jackson Springs!
Beginning at 10 am, we will gather at the depot by the mineral springs for a day of fellowship and celebration. The late Senator Harris Blake will be remembered in a memorial service. There will be singing in the afternoon and a tour of the important sites in the town. Enjoy displays of historical photographs and artifacts as we look back on the last 200 years in Jackson Springs! Lunch will NOT be served, but we will have food trucks available. We will also be selling prints and tee-shirts, so be sure to have a little cash on hand. Also, we ask that you bring your own chairs please. We look forward to seeing you there!!
Jackson Springs Presbyterian Church
Time: 10 am - 3 pm
The church will celebrate its 200th Anniversary on Sunday, October 8, beginning with a 10 am service at the site of the 1817 arbor on the church grounds. We will review the history of the church as it has withstood the test of time over the last 200 years.
A bagpiper will lead us from the arbor to the church as we remember our Scottish heritage and the Jackson Springs Presbyterian Church tartan will be presented and dedicated. Lunch will be provided following morning worship.
Please plan on joining us as we give thanks to God for His grace and blessings, which have led us to where we are now and with His continued mercy may lead us forward into the next century!
