The Homecoming Celebration of 2001 was such a hit that the Board of Directors of the Jackson Springs Historical Preservation Foundation, Inc. decided to do a repeat on October 14, 2006. It was a lovely fall day at "the spring" as the crowd gathered for fun, fellowship, and reminiscing. Many were amazed to see how Jackson Springs looked back in its "Glory Days" as an original painting of Old Jackson Springs was unveiled and prints were sold. As the day began to wane and people left for home, no doubt many of us thought to ourselves, "This is my town and it does my heart good just to be here." -Art Rooney
